Restaurants, snackbars, and lunchrooms service a large range of people. It is good to have some idea of how much ice you will need each day before choosing a model and storage bin size.


The average customer receives 2 to 2.5 lbs of ice per meal.
The average customer receives 1.75 to 2 lbs of ice per meal.
The average customer receives .75 to 1 lbs of ice per meal.

If you serve more than one meal, it is necessary that your ice machine be sized so that it produces enough ice for the current meal as well as the next meal.
